    Art Gallery, Belfast

This glass entrance was created for an attractive brick building in Belfast. Sometimes a frame can get in the way, so the solution was to have no frame. The result is that the glass disappears into the stone and brickwork without the distraction of conflicting colours or textures.

      Next Home, Holywood Exchange

In this large new store extensive glass balustrading and handrails were used on the mezzanine level and stairs. The glass was buried into the floor and stair strings, which gives the seamless impression that the glass is floating out of the floor.

        Interior Design Shop, Belfast

This structural glass facade, designed by Hugh Morrison Architect, allows the brick detailing to remain visible whilst creating an airy feeling of space and light in the entrance. The beauty of the building is enhanced and not concealed.

          Scrabo Hall, Newtownards

In this contemporary church, the aim was to create something colourful and appealing. The use of stone, curtain walling, green toughened glass doors and green aluminium columns achieves an interesting, highly efficient and practical solution.

            Newtownbreda Presbyterian Church, Belfast

In this church the clean lines of polished glass joints are neatly facetted to create a curved effect. The joints are glazed into channels hidden within the structure to create an uncluttered, welcoming entrance screen and an inside space full of light.

              Nicholsons Wine Importers, Crossgar

This inspiring design features a two storey wall of abstract design with an automatic sliding door. A teak feature wall and canopy softens the effect and provides a textural contrast.

J Hall Opticians, Kings Square, Belfast

This project involved replacing a tired shop front with a contemporary aluminium double shop front with seamless glass, sliding doors and internal screen. The result is clean and sleek and blends the two shops into one.

“I’m very pleased with the finished job, it looks great. Calderwood Glass’s service was excellent. There were several changes to the shop fronts and doors which were made late on and Calderwoods were able to accommodate the changes quickly and without fuss."
